East Bay Veterinary Clinic

EastBayVet1The brand new East Bay Veterinary Clinic that opened in early February reveals no trace of Launderville Automatic Laundry that closed on this site nearly a year ago. Dr. Gurjeet Gill, DVM, and Dr. Amandeep Sandhu, DVM, have transformed the 1500 sq. ft. space into a full service veterinary clinic and hospital operating with state of the art equipment. The Clinic’s services include wellness exams, vaccinations, dental care, preventative care, and pharmacy service as well as in-houselaboratory service, digital x-rays, surgery, and emergency critical care.EastBayVet4

Dr. Gill and Dr. Sandhu appreciate that Fluffy or Fido (and their caretakers) may feel anxious when it is time to visit the doctor’s office. The walls throughout are painted in calm, modern shades of key lime, dark burgundy and papaya. Colorful potted flowers add a cheery sparkle. A dish of dog treats is on the front counter next to a ceramic beagle holding a “welcome” sign.

One of the three exam rooms is reserved for cats only and has several feathered toys to engage your furry friend during the exam. Similarly, housing for four-footed guests separates cats from dogs in a darkened area so that cats can feel safely hidden from barkers. The Clinic also includes an isolation room where it would house any pet that might have an infectious disease.

Next time you are on your way to the Farmer’s Market, walking in Lake Merritt Park, visiting the Lakeview Library across the street, or strolling on Grand Avenue, stop in and meet our new business neighbors. The doctors selected their location (568 Grand Ave.) and hours of operation to be convenient for the community and to enable visitors to walk or carry their pets to the clinic when that is more soothing for your pets. The Clinic is open 7 days each week, including weekday evenings until 7 p.m. and all day until 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
