Ikaros Greek Restaurant – Open 11 am to 11 pm Tuesday-Sunday (5-11 pm Mondays). Call (510) 899-4400 for take-out and order delivery with UberEats for the duration of time of the Shelter-in-Place order. They are committed to staying open for the community and especially their employees, many of whom are losing hours or shifts at their second jobs.

Lin Jia has takeout Wednesday-Monday from 11:30 am to 9 pm. Phone (510) 835-8322 or order online for pickup only in the restaurant doorway where they can also accept payment. Staff disinfects all payment portals, pens and trays after each use and regularly sanitizes the table at the entrance. New additions to their menu: Cheddar Macaroni and Cheese (serves 4), Brioche Loaf, Soup (changes daily). Almond and Oak was Open for takeout brunch from 11 am – 2 pm on Saturday, April 18. Check their website for encores and for their menu which typically includes beignets that are guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. In addition, Gift Cards for use at a later date are available on THIS LINK.
Grocery stores and the Grand Lake Farmers Market are considered an “essential service” that provides food to the community.
Lakeshore Natural Foods is open from 10:00 am-6:00 pm Monday-Saturday, 10:00 am-5:00 pm on Sunday. They are limiting the number of customers allowed in the store at one time.
Lakeshore Produce is open 9:00 am-7:00 pm Monday-Saturday, 10:00 am-6:00 pm Sunday. Please practice social distancing.
Trader Joe’s: They are only letting a limited number of people in at one time to keep social distancing. They have increased the frequency of cleanings and are paying close attention to high touch areas such as restrooms, register areas, grocery carts, and hand baskets. They have suspended all food and beverage sampling in-store.
Grand Lake Certified Farmers Market – Grand Lake Farmers Market customers can now order and pay online for BOUNTY BOXES – a mix of seasonal fruits and vegetables available in two sizes. On Saturdays between 11 am and 1 pm, boxes are loaded into car trunks with zero direct contact. The only exception is for EBT recipients who need to swipe their card in order to qualify for a 50% discount funded by Bank of America. Orders for Saturday pickup need to be placed by Thursday no later than 4 pm using this link: https://www.agriculturalinstitute.org/bounty-box. A scaled-down market also remains in operation as an essential business that provides food in an open-air environment and serves as a critical component of our local food system. In response to the COVID 19 virus, they’ve implemented the following modifications:
- Shoppers, staff and vendors are all required to wear masks or other facial coverings
- More hand-washing and sanitizing stations are now available
- Space between booths has been increased to maintain social distancing.
- All prepared food is for consumption outside the market.
- Farmers are pre-packing produce for easier checkout and to maintain 6 foot social distancing among customers.
- All entertainment and non-essential activities are banned.
- Shoppers are asked to limit visits to no more than 30 minutes and, if possible, shop alone.
- If at any time AIM Managers believe the market has too many shoppers on-site to maintain social distancing, market entry and exit will be limited and tracked.
