Grand Avenue First Thursdays – October 2017


Jau Jou Studio has a show of geometric photographs  by Ginger Fierstein.

Ruth Stroup Insurance will be hosting an artist’s reception for Stephen Bruce whose unique acid paintings on copper have been widely featured on TV and in motion pictures.  Snacks and beverages will be served.

Urban Furniture is hosting a show of collages and other artwork by Vita Pascone.  Beverages and small bites from 6:30 – 9:00.

Alchemy Bottle Shop‘s second-floor gallery is featuring a show of colorful, abstract paintings by Therese Chevedden.  She and her husband Jake are partners in the Mosswood Whiskey distillery based in Berkeley.  

Panorama Framing is hosting an exhibit of  recent paintings by Jon Steven Walters entitled, “Persistence of Vision: The Sequel”.    Complimentary beverages, refreshments and live music provided by Kim Lembo.

The Libertine has an ongoing show of extremely tasteful nude photographs by Josh Stevenson.

San Francisco Fiber will be offering (for the first time) hands-on instruction in the art of Bohemian style tapestry.

510 Brand‘s walls are literally covered with paintings by shop employees including Culling Cahayag, Nina Simi, and Natasha Reh – supplemented with a handful of original drawings by Connor Burke. New artists participating in the October 2017 event are Jonesy and Lamberto Hernandez.  Several of the artists will be working at their easels and a DJ will be providing background music.  Complimentary beverages and snacks will be served.


Bay-Made at 3295 Lakeshore will be hosting an Opening Night Reception for Simon Lutrin, Sarahjane Bernhisel, Germaine de Luca and Brandon Smith – in conjunction with the Grand Avenue First Thursday’s event.
